Introducing Cargas Energy’s New
Sales Manager
Lancaster, Pennsylvania – October 16, 2018 – Cargas Systems, an employee-owned software company with 116 employees, is pleased to announce a new management promotion to support continuing growth in the company’s Cargas Energy business unit.
Barry Ackerman, formerly a Sales Consultant for the Energy business unit, is promoted to Sales Manager. In his new role, Ackerman will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Sales team, coordinating the efforts of the sales consultants and product specialists who are responsible for establishing relationships with new Cargas customers. Prior to joining Cargas, Ackerman spent more than 35 years in the software industry, with 4 years dedicated to selling software to the energy industry. He’s held roles in product development, partner relationships, product marketing, sales management, and direct sales. Ackerman earned a BS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Rhode Island.
The announcement came from VP Dennis DiSabatino, who said, “Barry joined Cargas in May with deep knowledge and experience in complex business software sales. It soon became evident that his experience in sales management would benefit our team as we continue to grow. It is crucial that we have an experienced Sales Manager overseeing the team day-to-day and driving strategic initiatives.”
