What Customers Are Saying

“Tank monitors allow us to make efficient deliveries for accounts with fluctuating usage patterns, like a dispensing unit at a gas station that fills mainly grill tanks. We also employ tank monitors for residential customers with variable usage patterns who don’t want to call in for propane deliveries, like the owner of a second home with a pool. While we use and appreciate tank monitors, there is a clear cost that comes with the technology that needs to be recovered. Given the potential benefits monitors provide in certain delivery scenarios, every marketer should take the time to educate themselves on the potential benefits versus costs for their operation.”

Zach Kohley, Excel Propane

“Early success of our Tank Monitoring implementation has shown a tremendous upside and ROI. We’ve been able to achieve a 32% reduction in deliveries with monitored tanks compared to last year’s results. As an added benefit, average drop sizes have increased significantly, which helps to maximize our delivery efficiencies.”

How the Integration Works

Cargas Energy’s tank monitor integration allows you to see the level readings of your monitored tanks right in Cargas Energy. Using the Tank Monitor screen, you can view the readings of your monitored tanks, filter them based on level or customer, and create delivery tickets.

It takes about 5 weeks to implement a tank monitor system and integrate it to Cargas Energy. First you’ll need to work with a tank monitor provider to register, purchase, and install your monitors. Then, we’ll use your login info to connect your tank monitor account to Cargas Energy and link the monitor ID numbers to the appropriate tanks in Cargas Energy. Once this is completed, you’ll have the full benefits of the integration.
