16th Cargas Energy Summit Spotlights Built-to-Last, Innovative Vision

Lancaster, Pennsylvania – September 29, 2025 – Cargas Systems hosted its 16th Cargas Energy Summit in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, September 16–18.

Held at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square, the biennial event brought together Cargas Energy users—including service technicians, back-office staff, and company leaders—for three days of education, networking, and a first look at upcoming product enhancements. Since shifting to a biennial schedule in 2023, the Summit has become a key forum for sharing major software updates and product roadmap insights.

This year’s attendees included 243 professionals from 91 organizations, as well as representatives from 31 Cargas Energy software partners.

This Year’s Theme: Built-to-Last

Cargas President and CEO Nate Scott welcomed attendees at an opening presentation on Wednesday, September 17. Scott centered his address around the company’s “Built-to-Last” vision by discussing the company’s employee ownership model, its focus on recruiting and developing top talent, and the team’s goal of reinvesting in new ways to help existing customers.

“We are a team built on the principles of being built to last, innovating for the future, and sharing success with those that have helped us along the way,” said Scott.

Cargas Energy Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

After Scott concluded his portion of the presentation, Aaron Cargas (Vice President of Product) and Dennis DiSabatino (Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations) took to the stage to commemorate twenty years of Cargas Energy. The pair’s retelling of the Cargas Energy story highlighted the team members, customers, and partners who contributed to the software’s development, but talk eventually shifted toward where Cargas Energy is today and where it’s headed.

New Feature Spotlights

The two-year period between the 2023 and 2025 Summits saw the release of 120 new features across Cargas Energy. Cargas and DiSabatino covered the top releases across four major categories: delivery, service, payments, and inventory and accounting.

Cargas and DiSabatino also discussed Cargas’ custom integration between Cargas Energy and HubSpot, a leading CRM that brings powerful sales and marketing capabilities to companies of all sizes.

The Future of Cargas Energy

Artificial intelligence was the buzzword at the 2023 Cargas Energy Summit, and at this year’s Summit, Cargas and DiSabatino remained confident it will be the defining “tech wave” of the 2020s. They briefly touched on previous waves, such as the cloud in the 2010s and smartphones in the 2000s, and they explored how Cargas is riding the AI wave through internal implementation.

“A software product doesn’t just happen,” said Cargas. “You have to think about what’s going on in the technology world and all the tech waves.”

This AI exploration is just one component of Cargas Energy’s roadmap, which takes a three-pronged approach to enhancing the software.

1: Product Renovation – Stay on top of the latest tech waves to discover ways to redesign Cargas Energy.

2: Product Expansion – Support the diversification of energy companies with new features and modules.

3: Product Automation – Methodically automate manual processes to save time for Cargas Energy users.

Until Next Time

Cargas Energy Summit will continue to operate on a biennial basis. The next Cargas Energy Summit will be held September 21–23, 2027.

The Cargas team wants to thank all the customers who attended the event, the local venues that hosted us, and all our partners and sponsors who participated. None of this would be possible without your enthusiasm and support!
