Introducing Cargas Energy’s New Point of Sale Mobile App
Lancaster, Pennsylvania – February 11, 2021 – Cargas, a leading software provider for fuel delivery and HVAC service companies, is pleased to announce the launch of its latest mobile application. Cagas Energy’s Point of Sale mobile app is specifically designed for propane dealers to handle the fuel transactions other POS systems can’t.
Designed for Propane Dealers
“We wanted to make it easier for our Cargas Energy customers to process retail transactions in their storefronts,” said Aaron Cargas, VP of Product Development. “While we initially considered integrating Cargas Energy with an existing POS system, we decided to build our own application so we could support the unique workflows needed for selling propane, cylinders, and other related equipment over the counter.”
Unlike many popular POS systems, which are often designed for clothing retail, Cargas Energy’s POS app can handle propane transactions like cylinder sales and propane by the gallon, automatically calculating the taxes for each transaction.
The POS app is fully integrated with Cargas Energy’s back-office software, including customer accounts and inventory. Propane dealers can view customer account information in the POS app, use the POS app to settle a customer’s account balance in their storefront, or add store purchases to a customer’s account balance. POS transactions automatically adjust item and propane inventory levels in Cargas Energy so propane dealers can monitor their stock.
Available for both Android and Windows, Cargas Energy’s POS app gives propane dealers the flexibility to choose the operating system and devices that best suit their needs.
