Automatic Delivery Ticket Creation Now Available for Cargas Energy & Tank Utility Customers

Lancaster, Pennsylvania – August 10, 2020 – Tank Utility and Cargas have partnered to develop a deeper integration that automatically schedules deliveries within Cargas Energy using real-time tank level data. This new feature enables propane marketers to plan deliveries for monitored accounts ahead of time, rather than waiting until a tank has a low reading for ticket pulls.
Automatic ticket creation is enabled by Tank Utility’s real-time forecasting. Tank Utility’s platform automatically updates with every monitor reading. It uses criteria such as tank capacity, historical consumption, and usage types to estimate timing for a delivered fuel customer’s next delivery. This makes it simple to review scheduled delivery days and projected stops for monitored accounts, so propane marketers can plan ahead with precision.
With the deeper integration, propane marketers are able to view the gallons needed for each tank on their delivery tickets with 100% accuracy, ensuring optimal deliveries and more efficient routing. This also serves as a safety net, ensuring tickets are never missed for monitored accounts.
“We have been working with customers to better integrate with their business processes,” said Amos Epstein, CEO of Tank Utility. “We’re excited that our new ticket scheduling in Cargas Energy makes it easier for tank monitoring to fit seamlessly into the ticket pulls and dispatches that marketers are doing every day.”
“We’re excited to continue partnering with Tank Utility to move the industry forward by integrating tank monitors deeper into fuel marketers’ processes and helping their businesses run even smoother with Cargas Energy,” said Aaron Cargas, Vice President of Product Development at Cargas.
The automatic ticket creation feature builds off of the Tank Utility – Cargas Energy bi-directional integration launched in fall 2019. With bi-directional integration, account-level data such as name, address, and tank size automatically syncs from Cargas Energy to Tank Utility and resyncs as account-level data changes, eliminating the need for marketers to update in two places; and making it faster to get up and running with tank monitoring.
